I've been thinking about adding a bird house to my backyard this year. This winter I started putting out seed, and now that I've started attracting visitors I feel the need to give them someplace to live. Your haiga has inspired me to start thinking about a bird house again. I have a feeling once I get it put up, it will be come a haiku-source for me!

I think this is a fantastic haiga. I really love the photograph. It struck me first as sort of magical and it reminds me of the fairy homes that children build in the woods in New England. I also like how the bird house is centered - this way it feels like a portrait and it makes sense that a picture of a home should feel this way.

Your haiku add so much to the image and I feel the sense of discovery in your words.

Well done!
