Sometimes he’s macho –

other times he likes to use

cherry blossom soap

This is meant to be a yin yang sort of character study in appreciation of my husband. B definitely has his “yang” qualities. He is (or used to be) a baseball fanatic. He can be very forward and aggressive when it comes to his interest. Other times he’s quiet and gruff. But he also has his gentler, more sensitive, more “yin” side to him. When I first got to know him I was stunned by the beautiful tapestries hanging in his apartment. They were delicate in a way that was very much in contrast with his video game collection. As I grew to know B he would sometimes surprise me, out of the blue, with sensitivity that was beyond the usual. Lately I have discovered that he also likes my handmade cherry blossom soap. It’s delightfully floral and I’m so glad B can appreciate it.

Just unwrapped your wasabi soap the other day and put it in the shower. I hadn’t used it yet and I woke up early to get in a shower before H woke up. So there I was, showering in the dark and I picked up your soap and it surprised me that it had lufa in it! I’m liking it!

I’m thinking I should send you lavender or jasmine for your next soap. It’s calming, relaxing. Will help you fall asleep! Glad you like the loofah. I love scrubby soaps.
