I choose to think that my time without a driver’s license was me being very good to the environment!

    Show me a poet
who can drive, and I will show
    you a bad poet.

    I love this!

I have been waiting for you to write a haiku about driving. I love that you don’t have a driver’s license. It so makes you my “New York” friend.

Anytime I tell anyone I know out here (Minnesota) about my friend without a driver’s license, they all gasp in horror. No driver’s license? How does the poor girl survive? Which, of course, if you lived here you’d be stuck inside your house and neighborhood forever without a car!

I must confess that I tell more people about your lack of driving than necessary because I love their horrified responses.

Oh, thank you everyone! I can’t tell you how your cute comments made me feel a little less pathetic about my license-free status. Oh, it’s a long saga. My quest to get a license and my previous quest to avoid getting one. Oh, and then all the failed tests in New York. Oh, and worse - I failed the permit test twice in PA! Who does that???? Sigh….

But now it’s got to get done. I will let you all know of the day I take the test. I will need your good vibes!
