Siobhan, yes - my neighbors have roosters and hens. I was under the impression that roosters just cocka-doodled at sunrise but from what I have heard these past few days they can be noisy all day. But mostly it’s pleasant.
Kelly, thanks! I have to admit that I wrote this one in my head late last night while in bed. I was wondering if all those verbs were redundant but I felt that I needed them all to give the roosters at night experience.
I wonder what they were doing…. Did they see a fox? Couldn’t sleep?
Did you really hear roosters in the middle of the night?

coming to think of it they do make other sounds beside cook ka doo ling; ie heard roosters during the day and night; i love them best at dawn
