We are the house with the bad lawn and the mushrooms, too! Hubby refuses to have anything to do with lawn upkeep. He gives me some sad immigrant boy tale about how he’ll know he’s made it when he doesn’t have to stoop to lawn care. Yadda yadda yadda. Whatever! Instead, I’m convinced the neighbors talk about how the couple who works from home and walks their dogs three times a day hires someone to do their lawn.
Ha ha. We are eventually going to do our lawn but I don’t even know what kind of lawn mower to buy. As we shop around (and are busy with unloading boxes), our lawn grows longer and longer. I’m very afraid that my new neighbors will look down on us for hiring help these early weeks but “whatever” is right!

It’s nice learning about your new home & neighborhood from your haikus
