it took me awhile to lose that busy feeling and
the urge to “go” that seems built into citylife.
lately, financial issues have kept me home,
conserving gas for necessary trips to town.
have patience, the country’s slowed-down pace
often takes time to sink in. it is then that “go” is
replaced by “stay”…
Thanks, Johanna! I love these inspiring haiku and I’m a huge fan of Jonh Prine! Very nice, I appreciate it. This is true. I think it I will set in at some time. But I am concerned that my daughter hasn’t been getting enough time socializing with other kids. Well, I will get the car soon so that I can get to our neighborhood playground but I am intrigued by the “staying home” concept. Well, since we plan to be here forever we have a lot of time to try this out : )
Kelly, here’s the good news. I’ve passed the written component and the vision test. Woo hoo!!!! But I was denied a road test because our car does not have NH registration yet. We will have this by Friday so I will be taking the test on Monday. So many delays, it’s been frustrating.

surround yourself with flowers
embrace the silence.

- staying home -
a 50’s concept
not a curse, but a blessing
there is much to do.

what to do today?
but witness abundant life…and
bloom where you’re planted.
best wishes in your new life!

Does this mean you didn’t pass your driver’s test?
