D, ha ha I hear you about NY. Those evaluators screwed with my head - they either gave me death stares while taking the test or they yelled at me. One test I failed in NY for "driving through a stop sign" when actually I had only nosed a bit past the sign.

This week my test was with an incredibly sweet soon to be grandmom. She gave me advice while I was driving but all went well. Just told me to relax my "death grip" on the wheel.

So anyways, I'm thrilled to have my freedom!

Congrats. FYI: They rig it in suburbia so anyone can pass. Did you parallel park between pylons?

I know about the rigging: About 28 years ago I failed my road test in lower Manhattan miserably (the evaluator used a dual brake to keep me from getting in an accident). Solution: go to Long Island in 88, five years later, and take the road test there! As I recall I only used the ability twice the next 12 years. . .on a drive to and from the Grand Canyon and one weekend in Tucson.
