maybe "Chai"?
when i was in france, the patisserie sold
"tetons" little white cones wth chocolate nipples
means little tits. [ tay-ton' ]
not pronounced like wyoming mountains.

there's always marquise, countess, queen
british refer to teatime as "tiffin"

Ha ha. Husband just read comments (he's way excited about Schipperke) and was confused by the word "tea party". Oh, can't one just have a tea party with scones and clotted cream anymore? This tea party refers to a tea party in a Beatrix Potter story...

Johanna, that Beatrix Potter link made my day. I'm sold. And I've been thinking up names influenced by that story. Since there's a tea party going on, anyone have an idea for a dog name based on black tea? Or coffee? Or some English or French pastry? There's always Duchess....

Kelly, I can't wait to write dog-ku, I really can't! Okay, I promise a cat-ku in the next week : )

Mary, beagles are cute but do you remember how Barney used to bark? I mean with the neighbors calling the police constantly and all???? But beagles are indeed totally adorable....

There is always room in your heart for a dog! At least, that's what I believe!

And Johanna -- I happen to have two of those hyper little things! They have more personality than dogs three times their size!

And Alison....I wanted to hear about your cats and how they transitioned to the move in haiku. Now you're thinking of getting a dog? What will happen to those poor kitties?
