    OMG! Love It!

Even my niece (my brother’s girl) who has never been allowed Disney princess stuff (her mom refuses to buy it) has now decided her favorite color is pink.

Are you sad because her favorite color is pink and so cliche. Or are you sad because this means she’s getting older? Or both?

It’s impossible to avoid! I know a few moms who are religious about making sure that their girls don’t wear pink but I imagine it’s more expensive and more time consuming to eliminate pink from a little girls diet. Most of Penny’s clothing comes from second hand shops or discount stores so choices are limited. And 99 percent of the choices out their include some level of pink.

I actually like pink. I mean objectively speaking it’s a very springy and calm color. But pink overdose in the land of girls is making me like it less!

And I’m most sad that Penny has been conditioned to like this color. Who knows which colors really stirs her soul - green, yellow, blue, brown. But pink is too pervasive for her to think any other way : (

    pervasive pink

I like the sound of this.

And now I must think about which color really stirs my soul…red, orange, green, blue…

There aren’t many colors I’m not drawn too. In general, I’m just all around drawn to color.

When I was a girl I always liked blue. I thought of the sky. Now green stirs me…

Ah, pink. Julia went through a pink phase, but blue has been her preference for the last six months or so. I’ve been feeling purple, lately.

I am sure it will change. Every little girl chooses pink at first and switches to black in the teen age years… Besides my favorite color changes every few years. Now it is indigo… but I think I started with pink too.

Haha, thanks everyone. I think I got some pink therapy this week. I’m no longer concerned….
