Last winter, I tried several times to write a haiku about animal tracks in the snow and how they reveal life to which you were unaware, but I never got one that I liked.
I like this one, though.
So you’ve had your first big snow? Ours is coming tonight. We’ve has dustings, but nothing substantial. But tonight…..oh, the forecasters are all a twitter.
Yes, we’ve had one 5 inch snow storm so far and I can’t believe we had ours before yours, Kelly! But I think you are sure to beat me on the cold front this winter…
I didn’t know about the “break” until I read that and I must say…she described it and explained it so gracefully. It totally made sense and it was after I read that I really started trying to work with it.
This is nice. I like “backyard brims with life”.

Did you ever finish reading The Haiku Apprentice?
