first night of the year
temperature drops sub zero
we play cards and laugh
Ah, sounds lovely. I love playing cards, it’s so old-fashioned and reminds me of my grandma. What a lovely and peaceful way to start the new year.

And Hubby lost the first game big time! That brought on the biggest laughs. He considers himself such a supremely-skilled game player that seeing him bite it means extra fun for everyone else.

Fond memories of our family time. Glad you found a way to include in a Haiku -D.
