You have captured a moment! I have seen my daughter sitting on my husband’s lap while he struggles with the placement of a piece of lace or a tiny curl–rough masculine hands busy with feminine expression without condescenion…

Would that be a knitted yellow afghan? Did you check out the review of Haiku Knits? :)

On another note…love the word “afghan.” I love how it sounds and how it looks. I haven’t used that word as a “blanket” in a long time. Since I was a kid. Now I just say blanket. I’m going to start saying “afghan” again! Confuse the hubby! Yeah!

Thank you, Bonnie! That’s exactly what I was going for and I really like how you described this, “feminine expression without condescension”…

Kelly, Funny, I use the word afghan a lot but wasn’t sure exactly what an afghan was, if it had to be some sort of specific blanket. I actually googled “afghan” before publishing this!

And yes, I loooove Haiku Knits. I really, really wish I had the time to take up a new craft but I will definitely pass this along to my knitting friends.
