dusty gray field mouse

harmless peaceful frozen dead –

four degrees outside

    i read some where about a lizard type in hibernation, froze to death and dropping from trees

    This is poignant. I saw a field mouse running around the river one day this past summer and I was so taken with it, I wrote a haiku. Never got it the way I wanted so I never published it. But field mice are indeed so harmless and peaceful. Nature is intense.
