Alison is still without power.
I penned this haiku in her honor
based off a conversation
we had on the phone two days ago.

digging up her past –

in Girl Scouts she learned how to

start and stoke a fire

    Thank you, for your haiku in my name Kelly! I love that you did a Girl Scout haiku and I bet you were a pretty good Girl Scout yourself! A rough week for sure and thanks for keeping the haiku going….

    I was a good Girl Scout! I was the top cookie seller in my troop. It wasn’t really my doing, though. My dad would bring the order form to work and people would sign up. Every year his secretary bought 24 boxes of thin mints. To me, this was perhaps the biggest extravagance I could have ever imagined! She would put them in her freezer and eat them all year long.
