I tell my daughter
about life after old age -
spring winds in winter
lovely image, and it is so true! zephyrs in the snows… great haiku!

I really like the nature image you’ve paired with this … “spring winds in winter.”
Something new that is fresh and promising is subtly moving underneath the darkest season.

That is an absolutely lovely haiku. The last line is perfection. I think that is one of the reasons our pets our in our lives, to teach us about the cycle of life, and how death isn’t the end.
