I agree - I love the economy in the shape of this. The first line starts this off well. I'm very visual so I will always notice these things. And then other times I will write a haiku where I like the words very much but dislike the physical shape of the poem! It's interesting. Really, when life gets less hectic I dream of doing haiga paintings where I can really think of how the words look on paper.

Thanks, Alison. Of course, you know me and my travel history. I'm not much for sitting around on a beach either. But this has been a hectic and somewhat stressful past fall. I think I'll relish the down time!

And can I just say that while this isn't the most artful of haiku, I really like the way it looks. I love that there are only 3 words in the second and third line and that in each of these, the first and third word are short while the middle word is the longer one. It all matches. I like this very much.

Hope you are having a great time! Funny, I was never interested in beach vacations with lots of sun (and SPF) until moving to New Hampshire. Now I want every vacation to be tropical. Soak in some sun for me : )
