D. Gale - Poor little guy had hardly budged from where I left him on the porch. I expected him (or her?) to fly away and live a happy life but it wasn’t to be.
I had a similar experience yesterday, I found a bug upside down and was trying hard to flip over but couldn’t. So I used a small twig and pushed it, it flew away
excellent haiku!
true spirit of traditional objective observation,
yet suggests brevity of life.
clap-clap-clap…bravo!

Sad, but at least it had some hours to live before its death, it is thankful to you for that. Buddha will be happy with your effort and Haiku.

I like this one a lot. It has a full circle feel to it, and speaks of the value of kindness even in the face of death. This is very nicely done.
