    Alison,

Very lovely! One of the Hebrew names for God is “El-Shadai,” meaning “The God who is breasted.” Another name for God in Hebrew is “Yiheyeh,” meaning “I will be what I will be.” Or “I am sufficient.” Human understanding of God or god measures his or her character, glory, and being by mortal words which are oh so insufficient! Great haiku, btw!

Thank you, Bonnie. And those are very beautiful - the Hebrew words and the translations. Thank you for sharing that!

    alison,
such a beautiful image of spiritual time
spent with the “living waters” of our earth.

    -marsh-

    just at the earth’s edge

    meeting the fertile waters,

    lies panacea.

(huge ocean marsh at panacea, florida–my holy place)

I like this very much. I like some of the choices you made — god with a little g, her instead of him.

And Bonnie…I also enjoyed your Hebrew lesson!
