I slink back to bed,
tuck into his side. He smells
of yesterday’s heat.
“Yesterday’s heat” …. oh, I know that smell….
This is a lovely haiku! And such a simple every day part of sharing a bed with someone, I love how you capture this. I know it’s still spring but the feeling is quintessential summer, in all it’s sticky hot glory.
