    tiny itchy guests

    pepper my limbs like freckles

    newborn mosquitoes.

we have a small very quick-type down here that
can reproduce in a wet mud-spot on the ground.
    nature out to get you!!

I think that’s exactly what we encountered! They were tiny, lightening fast and it was muddy all around. Ugh! Talk about vicious!

Ack! Kelly, I strongly dislike insects. Particularly insects that bite but even the kind that do not. This is perhaps why I wrote so many insect haiku this summer.

Okay, I like lady bugs. Butterflies. I even like moths and can respect ants if they are outside. But right now there are too many insects flying in my face and trying to get a piece of me.

I really like this haiku of insect frustration. I think true insect frustration must include swearing. A nicely done annoyance haiku!

I don’t know, Catherine. I think we had PTSD our whole car ride home!
