We have a lot to learn from ants, only thing I don’t understand them why they prefer sidewalks more and getting crushed by humans.

I like this haiku. We argue about the division of labor at our house too. Plus, a few weeks ago, I was really taken with an ant hill that was growing on our front stoop. I watched it grow over a number of days and let it go wondering when hubby would notice it or take action about it himself. It was getting to be quite large! He never noticed it, or if he did, never did or said anything about it. I evenutally flooded the thing while watering plants. But I thought about this scenario and how to turn it into a haiku. Now you’ve done it for me! : )

How funny! I knew you might have something to say (as most couples do) about the division of labor. But I didn’t know that our ant hill scenario was identical. I too wondered what Ben would think about the huge anthills multiplying in our driveway and I also finally took a big jug of water and drowned them out.

Reading your story made me so happy, Alison. Big smile! I love that our lives are (somewhat) the same!
