I think that’s a really cool idea to “strive for bioluminescence.” I never would have thought of applying a term that describes a chemical reaction that produces light to the quality or character of a person. But the phrase “light up from within” fits that idea.
Oh, I like this word. We should all strive for “bioluminsescence”.

I attended a lecture series last week. A woman named Dr. Sylvia Earle used it. She is a marine biologist.
Those organisms that live at the very very very bottom of the ocean, where it’s totally pitch black, have bioluminescense.
