    i rarely write in the 5.7.5 format, but will on occasion, and will submit when it is asked for; however, i appreciate the approach here
    haiku #80, i like for its empathy, its caring, its simple everday content
    and structurally the way Line 2 pivots

    Thank you, Gilena.

    Interesting what you wrote about 5.7.5. I have been learning about the different ways to approach haiku in the international community and how the Japanese 5.7.5 structure is not exactly syllable count. Some internationals are strict with the 5.7.5 as we have been on this site, and others interpret haiku in regard to the quality and elements of a haiku (versus syllable count).

    So why 5.7.5? I think this would be an interesting discussion!
