Oh, here’s something I’m putting on my wish list.

Check out these “haiku bangles” by DaddyDDesign.

I’m a sucker for bangles — they make me think of youth, fun and my girl crush on the entire band of Bananarama during my teen years.

There’s just something about bangle bracelets and a new hairdo. Both seem to make a woman walk with a certain fun spring in her step.

And these bangles just have to be the best ones ever!

In the spirit and rhythm of 5.7.5, each set comes in a group of three, and then each of the three bangles is stamped with one line of a haiku.

For a standard order, DaddyDDesign uses this traditional haiku by an unknown Japanese author:

Night and once again

The while I wait for you cold wind

Turns into rain

But if that haiku doesn’t do it for you, you can also order the bangles with a custom stamped haiku of your choice, which is totally cool.

I’m thinking this has tremendous gift potential, no? How touched would your special someone be if you scribed your own haiku to be presented in a meaningful jewelry gift? Or if you found and chose that perfectly romantic haiku by Masajo Suzuki?

You know you’d be considered the awesomest for at least a few days….

    Hi Joanna,

The bangles are fifty dollars. Follow the link at the top for order information. DaddyDDesigns sells these bangles off of an incredible site called Etsy. Not sure if you have heard of them before. I get so many gifts from this site since most everything is handmade and they can do lots of customs.

I’m glad you appreciate these bangles! I’m held down by the cost of moving right now, but when the holidays and birthdays come I will be thinking of these. I just can’t get over how clever they are as well as chic!
