A book toddles off

Like a child finding its legs

And running from home.

Are you sure the book it running away from home?

Perhaps, after all your hard work on it, you are projecting your own feelings on to it and hoping it will run away from home?

Well, it’s not running AWAY from home, exactly– just running. You know, setting off on a journey of exploration, looking to make contact with others.

Of course, some books run off on their own, and promptly get run over by a truckload of negative reviews…

The moral is, always hold your book’s hand when crossing the street.
