Wow, it’s interesting to read this haiku after reading Kelly’s today and Gillena’s in the comments. All show something beautiful and valuable falling. And then in your haiku the 3rd line focuses on beauty. Very poignant.

this seems to me a very tradional “classic” japanese haiku.
the joy seen in both life and death in nature,
beautifully expressed.
