There is so much mystery in this - both in the haiku and the photograph. The photograph even feels mystery in how it came to be. It’s so magical! And I question - where is this? Is this a found object or something you made? What is that cage for? And the haiku… so much mystery in the relationship but so much is there to draw me in. Really, really wonderful.

    What a startling image!

My first impression was that it was kind of creepy. Some sort of torture device! (What does this say about me?)

But then, I thought: Oh, it’s kind of sad.
