Before we get to her haiku, however, which were all written with the theme “Facebook” in mind, here’s what Jen had to say about the writing process:
This is my first attempt at haiku.
I was looking for an outlet to help me deal with my angst about Facebook, specifically my frustration with friend requests from people who are not my real friends.
Now, though, I’m just equally frustrated with writing haiku…
Writing a haiku
means counting syllables then
counting them again
